Marinara Spaghetti and Meatballs



Ingredients:
-1 onion
-2 cloves of garlic
-Red pepper flakes
-Oil

-1 lb lean ground beef
-1 cup parmesan
-Parsley (fresh or dry)
-Breadcrumbs
-2 eggs
-1/2 cup of 2% milk
-Italian seasoning
-Sea salt
-Oregano
-Basil

-Classico sweet basil marinara
-Spagetti




On the stove:

  1. Chop and sauté a whole onion with a tablespoon of oil.
  2. Mince garlic and add to the pan.
  3. Add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
  4. Sprinkle generously with salt.
Prep:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef with eggs, parsley, bread crumbs and parmesan well. Kneed together with hands.
  3. Allow the onion and garlic mixture to cool and then add to the mixing bowl, once again combining well.
  4. Add italian seasoning, oregano, basil and more sea salt as preferred.
  5. Add milk to the bowl and kneed together for the final time.
  6. Make a small burger patty and fry on stove to check that the flavoring is right.
  7. Coat baking pan with marinara sauce and set aside.
  8. Make the ground beef mixture into small meatballs (stuff with mozzarella for added flavor).
Final Steps:
  1. Brown the outsides of the meatballs on an oiled frying pan, then add them to the readied baking pan.
  2. Bake for approximately 15 minutes in the oven.
  3. Boil water and make spaghetti.

Finally, garnish with grated parmesan and parsley.
